...another one arrives

Update: Kitten and phone stuff.

Bug
Just as my irritated trachea recovers from whatever made me cough continuously since Christmas, my nose informs me that it is blocked with mucus."snot" to the less refined amongst my readers

Kittens
In other news, teh kittehs likes spagetti bolognaise. Will have to find some way of telling them that jumping up to the saucepan on the possibly hot ceramic hob will not have the results they are seeking.

Mobile Phone Upgrade time
It's that time again. What do I get? I don't think I'm quite up to an iPhone, but a Nokia N95 or LG Viewty may be good. Whaddya think?

Snot is more accurate. by ambrosen (4.00 / 2) #1 Wed Jan 30, 2008 at 06:49:45 AM EST
Mucus is the substrate of snot, designed to protect the soft tissue of the nose, but snot is the suspension of dead white blood cells and filtered grossnesses from the air in mucus.

Tell me, is there a more dignified, medical sounding word for snot then?

Ask a medic by ambrosen (2.00 / 0) #3 Wed Jan 30, 2008 at 07:45:19 AM EST
but given the food I'm eating right now, hospital canteen cottage pie might be a suitably medical term.

Actually, next time someone calls in for support from an eating disorders unit, I'll ask them if I can get a referral on the grounds of having eaten lunch here for 30 consecutive working days. But still, fills the belly.

My presumed norovirus by ambrosen (2.00 / 0) #4 Wed Jan 30, 2008 at 07:49:28 AM EST
of last December had me half dead for 10 days. Nasty as it gets. Fluids out of both ends, as it were.

New cell for me too by ShadowNode (2.00 / 0) #6 Wed Jan 30, 2008 at 07:30:19 PM EST
As the one I have has been through the washing machine a few too many times.

I was hoping I could hold out until the google phones start showing up.

Tempted by the N95 by Cloaked User (2.00 / 0) #7 Mon Feb 04, 2008 at 11:45:57 AM EST
My new gf-type person has one, as do one or two other people I know, and they do seem rather spiffy. They're currently "out of stock" as upgrades on the Orange website though (but £85 for new customers implying they do have them - screw you Orange)

The Viewty does look interesting too, though...

This is not a psychotic episode. It is a cleansing moment of clarity.

I went looking by anonimouse (2.00 / 0) #8 Mon Feb 04, 2008 at 11:56:19 AM EST
...and decided I preferred the Viewty.

Only problem is that O2 Online have run out of stock till 12th :-(
